How to Make (Using Fragrance Oils)

1. Calculate the Fragrance Load: For a rich, balanced woody scent, aim for a 6% to 9% fragrance load. Always check the maximum fragrance capacity of your specific wax type before beginning.

2. Heat the Wax: Melt your candle wax to the optimal mixing temperature (typically 185°F/85°C for natural soy wax). This ensures the wax molecules fully expand to bind securely with the heavy, complex wood and resin compounds.

3. Mix Thoroughly: Remove the wax from the heat source and carefully pour in the Sandalwood Fragrance Oil. Stir gently and continuously for a full two minutes to ensure the fragrance is evenly distributed throughout the wax.

4. Mind the Flashpoint: Check the flashpoint on the bottle label. Sandalwood scents are generally robust, but mixing at the proper temperature ensures the subtle, creamy notes are preserved.

5. Pour and Cure: Pour the scented wax into your vessels at the recommended temperature. Allow the candles to cure undisturbed for 1 to 2 weeks. Woody base notes benefit significantly from curing, as they mellow and deepen over time to provide a richer, more luxurious scent throw when lit.
