How to Make (Using Fragrance Oils)

1. Calculate the Fragrance Load: For a vibrant, room-filling candy aroma, aim for a 7% to 10% fragrance load. Always verify the maximum fragrance capacity of your specific wax type first.

2. Heat the Wax: Melt your candle wax to the optimal mixing temperature (typically 185°F/85°C for natural soy wax). This temperature allows the wax molecules to fully bind with the complex, sweet fragrance notes.

3. Mix Thoroughly: Remove the wax from the heat source and carefully pour in the Skittles Fragrance Oil. Stir gently and continuously for a full two minutes to ensure an even distribution for a consistent scent throw.

4. Mind the Flashpoint: Always check the flashpoint on the bottle label. This fragrance contains bright citrus notes that can be delicate; adding the oil to wax that is too hot can cause the “zest” to evaporate prematurely.

5. Pour and Cure: Pour the scented wax into your chosen vessels at the recommended temperature. Allow the candles to cure undisturbed for 1 to 2 weeks. Candy-inspired scents really benefit from this time, as it allows the sugary base notes to mature and blend perfectly with the fruit top notes.
